Movebank and MoveApps - Ashley Lohr
Presentation description
Movebank (movebank.org) is a global platform for managing, sharing, and archiving animal tracking and other animal-borne sensor data. Movebank is closely integrated with MoveApps (moveapps.org), a user-friendly no-code analysis platform for animal tracking data. This seminar will provide an overview of both Movebank and MoveApps and highlight how researchers and conservation practitioners use these platforms as a backbone for larger-scale initiatives and applications that leverage the system’s harmonized database, near-live data feeds, APIs, access control for public and controlled-access data, and serverless cloud computing services such as MoveApps.
Ashley Lohr
